Award-winning Dunfermline solicitors and estate agents, maloco + associates, have announced that they have rebranded and will now trade as maloco mowat parker.  The new brand, which includes the names of co-directors and sisters Laura Mowat and Stacey Parker, acknowledges their outstanding contribution to the firm’s continued success.

Michael Maloco, who founded the practice in 2006 and is a director of the ESPC, comments –

“As we move through this next phase of growth, it’s only right that our new name recognises the achievements of my two younger co-directors and that it speaks to our unity whilst simultaneously looking forward.  As I approach my 40th year in law, I see this rebranding as an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to the town as well as it being a steppingstone to the future.”

Whilst a new name, the firm’s core values remain unchanged.  Central is remaining local and a deep understanding of the significance of family, be that the purchase and sale of a home or the role solicitors can play in helping plan family futures.  This is unsurprising given that the Maloco name has been front and centre of the local business community for three generations and that same understanding of family is also central in the lives of Laura and Stacey whose own background is that of a Dalgety Bay based family business.

Laura, recently appointed Dean of the local faculty of solicitors, has practiced law for 10 years and joined the firm in 2015, becoming a Director in 2017, comments – “As Head of Conveyancing, and as Estate Agency partner designate due to take over that role from Michael in the future, I look forward to working with property director, Keiran Newman, our lettings manager, Danielle Cameron, and the team as a whole, collectively committing to improving still further our customer service.”

Stacey, who has practiced law for 13 years, joined the team in 2021 and has been pivotal in recent years to the rapid expansion of the firm’s private client department specialising in will writing, the preparation of powers of attorney, and the winding up of the estates.

Referring to the rebranding, Stacey says – “It’s an exciting time for all of us.  I’m looking forward to growing the private client side of our business and to helping clients plan their futures and to get their affairs in order.  It’s also great to be working with my sister and seeing our names “up there in lights” is fun and a source of genuine pride, even if I do occasionally have to remind her who’s the big sister!” In summing up the changes, Michael says, – “Laura and Stacey instinctively understand how important family is to everything we do here.  I’ve no doubt that they’ll carry these values forward.  In future years, with their hands on the tiller, the firm will grow and continue to offer expert advice to the people of Dunfermline and West Fife, by which time, I hope to be enjoying my morning espresso on a sunny Tuscan hillside!”
