A beauty parade or a rogues gallery, we know not, but here is your chance to get to know a little bit about the people and personalities that make up maloco + associates.  

All of our staff are trained so that they can discharge their duties in a way that best serves our clients. As has been said elsewhere within these pages it's something we feel passionate about. Yet behind each efficient ( and friendly ) façade lurk some dark secrets.

Michael Maloco - Senior Partner

First record bought: Metal Guru – T Rex First Memory: drenching my grandfather with ice cold water from a hose as he sat bare chested in the family ice cream factory one summer cleaning intricate parts of the refrigeration unit and then running in blind panic as he screamed in shock! Favourite Dessert: Ice cream ( it's an Italian thing! ) Most flavours but not mint!  Finding the perfect combination is a life long quest. Childhood dream job: architect, author or footballer Favourite childhood TV programme: The Man from UNCLE.  Ilya Kuriakin was my favourite. Last Holiday destination:  Italy - yet again ! Barga in Tuscany - my granparents' home town.  When did you last laugh:" Whilst recent times in property have been no laughing matter being able to share a joke with colleagues helps keep you sane. Went to see Tim Minchin recently.  An absolute Australian genius.  If you don't know him just go if you get the chance!  Sort of like Bill Bailley in style of comedy but even more clever!  Principal Tasks: providing a vision, drive and support to an exceptional staff, domestic conveyancing on behalf of clients, devising and directing marketing and PR initiatives.  Strengthening and developing the brand and ethos that I want to be identified as the "maloco way"

Jim Graham - Partner

First Record Bought: Oliver's Army - Elvis Costello First Memory: Getting a new football strip ( it was Rangers but Michael won't let me say that!! ) when I was 5 Favourite Dessert; Anything with meringues ( chewy please! ) Childhood dream job; Fireman Favourite childhood TV programme: Batman Last Holiday Destination: Two in fact - Spain and Italy ( Michael insists we all sample the homeland! ) When did you last laugh:  My wife and I took in four or five shows in this year's Edinburgh Fringe. Rich Hall was very funny. Principal Tasks: I am in charge of the firm's Wills, Trusts and Executry case load.  My principal role and indeed my main goal is to ensure that clients are dealt with in a professional and sympathetic manner at what can be a difficult time when they may be coping with a bereavement.

Lori Stirling

First record bought: Blondie - Call me First Memory: riding my first pony at the age of 4 Favourite Dessert: anything that tastes good enough to make it worthwhile consuming a few extra calories! Childhood dream job: vet Favourite childhood TV programme: Follyfoot , goes without saying! still horse mad! Last Holiday destination: short break in a very special cottage just outside Aviemore When did you last laugh: my son makes me laugh every day (usually unintentionally!).  I suffered a very bad triple leg break recently and being able to laugh helped keep me sane Principal Tasks: property valuation, devising effective and tailored marketing solutions for clients.

Jill Dalglish

First record bought: Bay City Rollers First Memory: My 4th birthday party Favourite Dessert: Cheese Childhood dream job: Something to do with traveling ( fulfilled this as I worked on cruise liners and in Australia and Greece for a few years ) Favourite childhood TV programme: Starsky & Hutch ( with a big bag of Cheesey Wotsits for company!) Last Holiday destination: Algarve. Love the sun and sea. When did you last laugh: I try to laugh every day. Principal Tasks: Negotiating best possible price for clients. Administering all aspects of sales once listed through to receipt of acceptable offer including regular contact with clients. Mentoring and support of remaining Negotiators.

First record bought: Cher's Greatest Hits First Memory: Cutting my own hair aged 4 Favourite Dessert: Cheesecake Childhood dream job: Fireman! Favourite childhood TV programme: Fraggle Rock Last Holiday destination:  Tenerife. When did you last laugh: I laugh all the time and in the face of adversity Principal Tasks: Negotiating best possible price for clients. Administering all aspects of sales once listed through to receipt of acceptable offer including regular contact with clients.

First record bought: The Grease album First Memory: Family holiday in Whitley Bay Favourite Dessert: Apple pie and ice cream Childhood dream job: Teacher Favourite childhood TV programme: Playschool and I always guessed the arched window - if you get the reference you're showing your age!! Last Holiday destination: Disney World Florida. Myself, my six year old daughter and family. Two weeks of Florida sunshine, holiday villa and meeting Micky and friends. Just to see the look on my daughters face when visiting Disney World was fantastic!  When did you last laugh: Two minutes ago!  Laughter is the best medicine. Principal Tasks: Negotiating best possible price for clients. Administering all aspects of sales once listed through to receipt of acceptable offer including regular contact with clients.

Aileen McFarlan

First record bought: I Don't Like Mondays - Boomtown Rats First Memory: I think it is my little brother (a strapping 39 year old now) throwing up on me. I think my mum may have been trying to introduce me to my new sibling; have I lowered the tone? Sorry! Favourite Dessert: Pavlova. Eton Mess. Anything with meringue and cream. Childhood dream job: Archaeologist, until I realised I would have to dig up dead people. Favourite childhood TV programme: The Double Deckers. I so wanted to live on a bus. Last Holiday destination: Kilmartin Glen, Investigating cairns and standing stones - I'm having a prehistory phase! When did you last laugh: I'm laughing just now... Principal Tasks: My role is currently very varied which I enjoy.  I am one of two valuers but also deal with sales progression ( making sure offers that come in are progressed to a conclusion ) and help manage the estate agency case management systems.
