The 2009 Sunday Times Best Small Scottish Estate Agency gold medal winners  maloco + associates report a very encouraging start to the year.  With, according to the ESPC, their sales up by well over 75% senior partner Michael Maloco feels that West Fife’s property market is now through the darkest days and that 2010 will prove to be the best since 2007.

“Our start to the year has exceeded all expectations.  The team deserve huge credit.  Our many satisfied clients are testimony to the team’s focused and pro active approach to the sales process.  We pride ourselves on doing the basics well as it is this that ultimately makes the difference. In offering the full one-stop-shop approach of a solicitor and ESPC backed estate agency and with in house conveyancing available, our clients benefit from a joined up approach to their move.  This we believe makes the whole process less stressful and it can also be more cost effective.”

Property Director Aileen McFarlan and Valuer Lori Stirling echo Michael’s positive tone.

“ Our average selling time has been reducing steadily over the last 6 months or so and now stands at just 88 days which is the best it has been in 2 years.  This the ESPC tell us is 45% ahead of the average sales times for other agencies. Hopefully the "two fat ladies" signal another step along the way to recovery?

Viewings are up, so are listings and Closing Dates are back on the agenda.  We don’t anticipate anything more than very modest price rises going forward but the fact that there is once again meaningful activity is hugely encouraging”
