Sales Negotiator
Who will the role suit?
Would you describe yourself as a “people person” ? Are you as good at building rapport on the phone as you are in person? Do you enjoy influencing decisions and making a difference?
maloco + associates are one of the busiest and most successful estate agents in West Fife. Our sales negotiators are ambitious and take pride in a job well done. They are always courteous, apply their skills and knowledge in a professional yet friendly manner and are team players.
If you feel you can maximise every sales opportunity whilst employing genuine top tier levels of customer care then this role will suit you.
What’s involved?
A lot! The cornerstones of good agency are clear, concise communications, managing client expectations and being proactive. Being reactive isn’t enough. From when a property is brought to the market by the valuation team through to its sale when it passes to the conveyancing department, the negotiator is the pivotal relationship. You will handle all aspects of the transaction from the initial admin. tasks through to the sale itself. You will manage your time with ruthless efficiency contacting both clients and registered buyers regularly , cross-matching properties against needs, following up on potential viewers, arranging viewings, negotiating offers etc. etc. You will speak to at least 40 buyers a week, at all times aiming to build relationships by understanding their needs. In this way you will be better placed than our competitors to help them on their property journey. You will speak with surveyors, solicitors, financial advisers and tradespeople on a regular basis.
With over 60 viewings a week the negotiation team have to make a lot of viewing callbacks. You need to be organised and determined in chasing up feedback and be able to deal with the various outcomes. It may be good news, an offer to negotiate, or it may be bad news – adverse comments about the condition of the property. All feedback needs to be collated, interpreted and imparted to clients. Opinion and advice needs then to be offered that takes account of viewer comments and suggests solutions where necessary .
So if you are robust, self motivated, able to multi task and are a team player then please apply. In return we will give you full, ongoing training, a dynamic, pleasant working environment and a lot of fun.
